NIKE FROM MOON TO LUNAR – OCTOBER 2010
Nike’s celebration of innovation and modern craft came to life at 1948 in Shoreditch. An exhibition showcasing the 8 major technologies in Nike Running was designed, built and installed by Rosie Lee. The centre piece being a giant model of Nike’s Lunar Eclipse. The shoe is one giant ‘Trompe-l’œil’ – esque optical illusion. When viewed head on the shoe appears complete but when moved around the 15 separate elements are revealed. Alongside this the 8 running technologies where communicated along one wall, each with an original shoe to match. Ben Drury provided posters and video content for the remaining wall under the name Ground Control to LDN.
